Socially active seniors are happier
New research reports something that Lutheran Life Communities has always known, that seniors who are socially active are happier. Retirement communities offer seniors an active and social lifestyle that they may otherwise find difficult to maintain while living on their own. Wilf Campus ask for Toby Ehrlich at 1 (888) 311-5231

Residents and Staff of the Lena and David T. Wilentz Residence recently went to Washington to visit the Holocaust Museum, for most it was their first visit. Kitty Thomas, one of the residents who went to the Holocaust Museum was asked about her thoughts of the museum. Kitty said “ it is something everyone should see. The most heart wrenching thing to me was seeing the shoes and the suitcases of the victims and the film of people taking off their clothes before going to the gas chambers … and children being separated from their parents. It was a very eye opening experience for me. After seeing something like this how can people say the Holocaust never happened.” Lauren O’Gorman, the assistant director and one of the organizers of the trip said “ we plan to continue having trips to broaden our residence knowledge of history. It was a truly moving experience.” To find out more about The Lena and David T. Wilentz Residence call us at 732-873-3888 or email us at seniorhousing@wilfcampus.org. Toby Ehrlich

We are an amazing team. We did it once again. The food was GREAT, the aides & the recreation staff were so helpful in escorting our residents to see the cars. It was a gorgeous afternoon with lots of visitors and residents enjoying the cars and reminiscing about what they used to drive. Enjoy the pictures. Evelyn Rembelles letter by Toby Brown Ehrlich

I have worked with Evelyn Rembelles for the past eight years. She is extremely caring toward everyone that enters The Stein Assisted Living, Residents, Family and Staff. She is someone you would easily trust to care for your elderly loved ones. In addition Evelyn is a born leader and truly enjoys making the residents smile. When we have parties and events she caringly helps residents participate in an enthusiastic manner and never needs to be prompted. She is a self starter. As an administrator I highly recommend her for this honor.
Evelyn makes our job in marketing easy. Whenever we bring a tour around, Evelyn is always there with a smile and word of encouragement for new residents and has been known to tour prospective residents. Her pride in her work and our community shines through.
It is a pleasure to nominate Evelyn Rembelles for this honor. She is truly deserving.
Sincerely,
Toby B. Ehrlich, LCSW, CALA
